You Can Now Stop Doing the Boring Admin Work!
I've been listening to podcast interviews with anti-AI speakers… those who think AI is a bubble that's about to crash, or worse, a con job… unreliable and resource-extracting tech that's being forced on all of us, for the profit of billionaires.
I seek these out on purpose, because when it's something I use every day, I want to hear the strongest case against it.
Yet… when they describe what AI is, I'm really surprised. They talk about it as if it was 2023: a chatbot!
If that were all AI was… I'd probably side with them too 😅
But AI has changed dramatically. It is now genuinely useful, and saves me something like 15 hours of focused time every week. Every soulpreneur can now have a brilliant, hardworking executive assistant for $100-200 a month.
My rough estimate — most AI users are seeing maybe 5% of what it can now do.
Below is a list of what the other 95% could look like for a solopreneur. My hope is that you find at least a few in here that will genuinely save you lots of time and energy.

They're no longer just chatbots…
…now we can hand them real work.
In January 2026, "agentic AI" became widely distributed when OpenClaw and Claude Cowork were launched.
Rather than just writing answers back to you, AI now can do the work for you, even if your laptop is closed. What follows is a list of jobs you could now hand to your AI.
None of these require you to be technical.
Your website, your writing, and your inbox
AI can design or redesign your entire website. Not a template you then wrestle with — the actual pages and the actual copy, revised as many times as you like by simply talking to your AI in normal language. My whole website was rebuilt, page by page, with relatively few words from me. I'm not a designer, I'm not a techie, and I didn't write most of the copy. I simply edited what it gave me, and approved everything. For example it redesigned my course catalog (including images), and it created a best of George Kao page based on all of my work (I gave it access to certain folders on my computer, and asked it to read all my course comments.)
AI can read everything you've ever written, and hand you back your own framework. Thousands of documents (in whichever folders you give it access to) on your computer , your Google Drive, your Dropbox, or a decade of your social media posts… and out of that, it can hand you a thoughtful draft of your entire knowledge framework! I had it study all 25 courses I've taught (including reading all video transcripts and all student comments) and it created an organized, streamlined set of documents that comprehensively outline my whole body of work.
AI can intelligently clear your inbox (finally!), and surface only what's yours to answer. Of course, it'll be careful not to get rid of anything that might be useful; it'll give you a list of examples so that you can train it. Then, it'll become capable to help you let go of future inbox distractions. Things that feel urgent, but aren't important. You'll no longer have a large pile that always makes you feel behind!
Your content, and the people you haven't met yet
AI can now post on your behalf, everywhere. It first interviews you for your ideas. Then it drafts the piece (after it already analyzed and integrated good SEO principles), creates a few good images to go into it, and you do the final editing and approval. Then it schedules it to your blog, and every social platform you're on.
AI can find the opportunities that have been languishing in your inbox. Potential clients and collaborations you had neglected to respond to. Overnight, your AI can find all of these in your inbox, research what's relevant to you, then hand you drafted replies that are waiting for your edits & approval to send.
AI can go looking for your ideal collaborators. Regularly, without being asked: who out there is doing work that fits yours well, and where exactly the two of you align best, and draft an outreach message written in your voice for you to edit and send.
AI can study the market and recommend what you should make next. By reading what people most like your ideal clients are posting online and asking about, then outlining the offers most likely to sell well — specifically the ones where you can contribute something others in your field can't…
Your launches, your numbers, and your money
AI can now run a launch for you, from end to end. A program, an event, a workshop, a service, a course… AI can now handle all the copywriting and design, the logistics, the admin inside whatever software you already use, and schedule the posts and emails in the right order. You approve everything, and it sends.
AI can monitor your content metrics and recommend things for you to create. Not a dashboard you have to remember to open. Your AI can automatically give you a weekly read of what's getting traction from your social posts, and a recommendation of what you might want to post… topics and formats that are more likely to get engagement from your ideal clients.
And of course, it can study the stats from your launches too. Across all your offers, which ones did better and why? And then hand you a thoughtful set of recommendations for what you might want to offer next.
AI can run your ads. Even on a small budget — under $100 a month — pointed at a well-targeted audience for your content or your offers.
AI can help with the money stuff. Your bookkeeping, investments, etc… as much or as little as you're willing to give it access to. (This one carries a bigger asterisk than the rest, and I'll come back to it below.)
And all of it, without you having to remind it…
Every item above can happen on a schedule — overnight, weekly, monthly — without you remembering to remind it. Marketing, research, admin… more or less anything that can be done at a computer, your AI can now do.

As they say, "this is the worst that AI will ever be." It's going to get even more capable at taking care of all your admin, design, technical challenges… whatever you hand it.
What my AI does for me…
Out of curiosity, I asked my AI to start tracking the jobs it's doing for me. What follows is a portion. Maybe it'll give you — or your AI that reads this! — some details to have it help you save time and energy, or to accomplish projects that were previously too tedious or technical for you.
The ongoing chores:
Someone unsubscribed from my list, but a separate channel kept emailing them anyway. A weekly job now ensures this doesn't happen, and I don't have to do any of this admin anymore. In the first week, thirty-eight people taken care of.
Another regular job checks that the price on my sales pages match what the shopping cart charges, because a launch discount ends on its own and previously I would have to remember to update the page's price. Now, I don't have to remember it: my AI does it for me automatically.
Another job automatically scans hundreds of messages a week in my spam and trash boxes, searching for the legit emails. It has found several, from important clients, too, that gmail too eagerly marked as spam, or accidentally placed into the trash and I never saw it.
None of that is interesting, but it all took me twenty minutes here and there, every week, forever… and that time and worry is now freed up for me, forever!
The things I was carrying in my head:
Not work, exactly. More like load — the tax you pay daily to not forget something.
My AI runs a few dozen jobs for me per night, monitoring this and that. Things I used to have to remember to check daily or weekly or monthly.
Or I simply label "For Claude" on an email and archive it. Overnight, that thread gets read, routed, researched, and if needed, a draft or outline written.
The things nobody could read all of…
775 conversations that people had had with my chatbot, read by my AI, over three nights, and each sorted into easy to read lists of: this is a customer that needs you, this is an answer that needs a correction: do you want me to do it?, here are some topics that you might want to write about or create a course about. I slept well all three nights as it worked on its own.
Eighty-two survey responses from people who came to my free sessions, sitting untouched since 2024. Important insights came out of that analysis where I've made real shifts in my business as a result.
51 dead links across my website, that I didn't know about or would've felt overwhelmed about, now all repaired — something I wouldn't have done for years and would have kept nagging at me.
The return doesn't come from how clever a job is. It comes from how often that job repeats… and from how long you've been avoiding the job.
Things to be aware of:
It will sometimes get things wrong. The industry's working number is something like 85–95% accuracy on a well-scoped task, so the sensible design is one where the remaining slice arrives in front of you, rather than being shipped without you. An overnight job once told me that my survey form had been disconnected. It gave me the link to check myself. The next morning, I glanced at the sheet, saw a row where I had "hidden" which confused the AI, and the emergency dissolved. Sometimes the one-second human check is what saves the day.
And it isn't free, though it might cost less than you fear. As of August 2026, the free plans at Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini are good enough to be your researcher, your writer and your editor. If that's what you need, you're already done… and please don't let anyone sell you a $15/month bundle to do what's free. The line gets crossed only when you want the AI to act on your accounts and remember to take care of admin things by itself. That's around $100 a month. It's where the chatbot becomes an executive assistant for you. For those that want to do even more, $200 a month is what I spend for it to run my whole business (3 memberships and multiple courses), and I never run out of tokens.
What I don't hand over:
Sensing quality, meaning whether a piece of teaching is finished or a draft is true to my voice.
Helping a client regulate their felt confusion (something that's better done human to human), and then co-creating with them the clear and thoughtful next steps, which is the coaching move itself.
Holding space for a group of people to process and transform — and transmitting my calm.
These are deeply human activities, and it's a joy to now have more time and energy to do them! Thanks to my AI doing the repetitive or technical things that is best handed to a machine.
However, what AI can do, and what you should hand it, are two different questions. It's worth being thoughtful about how you answer them.
Where I recommend starting:
Not with the impressive projects.
First, pick the chore you've been doing regularly, that produced nothing super important — the sweep, the check, the reminder, the reconcile. Hand your AI those low-stakes tasks first. And ask it to tell you what it did, rather than that it's done.
If that goes well, you'll know soon, because the week will be a little emptier and you'll feel more spacious and energized. Then gradually hand your AI more and more important tasks. Train it just like you'd train any assistant, except with AI you don't have to check your spelling or be grammatically correct. You can simply use the dictation tool to stream-of-consciousness speak your tasks, and it'll likely know what you need.
