Support is Everywhere
Are you pouring your heart into your authentic business, yet sometimes feel lonely, wondering where support will come from? Where are the kindred spirits, the allies who will understand and uplift your efforts?
You’re not alone in feeling this way. Trust that there is definitely a path forward — a way to uncover the connections and resources waiting for you.
It involves four key shifts:
1. Ask.
Remember that there is a subtle, often invisible, power that’s present in your life, right now. Always with you. You might sense it as God, connect with it as your higher self, or perceive it as a benevolent universe.
Whatever name, understand that this force subtly guides you. It orchestrates synchronicities, delivers precisely what you need for growth, and cares for you in ways that are beyond human imagination. It actively seeks partnership with you to co-create your most aligned and connected life.
Your role in this partnership begins with a simple, sincere request for help.
How you ask is deeply personal. Perhaps — heartfelt prayer, quiet meditation, reflective journaling, or even singing your request into the world. Sincerity is the key. Ask clearly for the support, the guidance, the connections, the strength you truly need.
2. Connect (Netcaring).
With your sincere request made to the universe, the next natural movement is to engage with the world and the people in it. This is where “Netcaring” comes in — consciously shifting your focus from getting support to embodying a spirit of giving support.
I call this practice “Netcaring.” Unlike traditional networking, which can often feel transactional, Netcaring taps into your genuine desire to connect heart-to-heart. It’s about moving beyond superficial exchanges to find mutual enjoyment and benefit in the connection itself.
When you interact with others through this lens, actively seek genuine win-win scenarios. Ask yourself: How can I authentically support this person?
Here are a few ways Netcaring might look:
- Share a valuable resource that truly helped you on your own journey.
- Offer to highlight their upcoming workshop if it genuinely resonates with your audience and values.
- Suggest that you could introduce them to another soulpreneur who could be an ideal collaborator for their new program. (Ask permission individually from each person before making the connection.)
- Offer genuine encouragement on a fellow soulpreneur’s social media post about their own challenges.
- Thoughtfully refer a potential client to someone whose expertise is a better match.
- Simply listen deeply during a connection call to understand how you can truly be of service.
The core idea is how this connection can become mutually enriching, reflecting your values and perhaps even advancing your own vision in an aligned way.
Approach interactions with this spirit of collaborative giving.
Not every person you meet will be the right fit for deep collaboration, and that is perfectly fine. Keep reaching out authentically.
Social media platforms offer vast potential for connection. Engage by commenting thoughtfully on others’ posts. Participate helpfully in relevant discussions. Speaking of which, you’ll notice an invitation at the end of this very post to practice Netcaring by leaving a comment to connect with fellow kindred spirits right here.
When you feel a resonance, reach out privately to those kindred spirits. Suggest a brief, open-ended chat to explore how you might support each other — perhaps by cross-promoting services or simply offering a listening ear. Always aim for mutual benefit and authentic connection.
3. Observe.
After asking for support and consciously connecting with others in a spirit of giving, the next key is to sharpen your powers of observation. This is about noticing the subtle (and not-so-subtle) ways the universe begins to respond and how the support you seek begins to materialize.
As you go about your days, engaging in your work — perhaps launching your signature coaching package, gently promoting your online course, or consistently sharing your authentic message — simultaneously cultivate an attitude of observant expectation.
Assume the help you requested is already unfolding, making its way to you. Your task isn’t to force or doubt, but to watch for its arrival. The Tao Te Ching reminds us, “The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
Each step taken, each interaction, provides an opportunity for observation.
Ask yourself frequently as you interact and move forward: “Might this person, whom I connected with, be the support I asked for?” Or “What might this unexpected conversation or opportunity teach me?” Or “Is this surge of strength or clarity, this intuitive nudge, the guidance I requested?”
Operate from the assumption that support is manifesting in various forms. Your role is simply to recognize it with open eyes and an open heart as it appears.
4. Reconnect with Source.
As you engage in Netcaring, observe these manifestations, and navigate your journey, it’s essential to continually replenish your own spiritual energy. This is where regular reconnection with your divine source comes in. It ensures your actions and observations remain aligned and energized.
That initial ‘ask’ and your ongoing efforts require sustained support to keep your channel clear and your energy vibrant. This is about maintaining and renewing that connection throughout your days, especially as you engage with your work and outreach.
Personally, I practice what I call an energy reboot. Several times throughout my workday, I pause for about two minutes. I take a few deep, conscious breaths. With each breath, I silently repeat a “spirit word” — a word that resonates deeply with me in that moment, like “gratefulness,” “openness,” or “devotion.” This simple practice helps me recenter and plug back into that wellspring of guidance.
I encourage you to discover your own quick rituals for reconnection. It doesn’t have to be my method. Perhaps for you, it’s a moment of stillness before an important call, stepping outside for a breath of fresh air between tasks, a short affirmation, or looking at an inspiring image. Find what works for you — something simple you can do “again and again” to refresh your spirit and reinforce your connection to that supportive universal energy. This sustained connection fuels your ongoing efforts and keeps you open to receiving.
By consistently practicing these four steps — sincerely asking for divine assistance, connecting with others through Netcaring, actively observing for signs of support, and reconnecting again and again to your source — you will find the support you seek.
Remember these threads of wisdom from across traditions:
“What you seek is seeking you.” — Rumi
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” — Jesus
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.” — Mahatma Gandhi
Trust the process. Trust the subtle yet powerful force that guides and supports you.
Ask for what you need, connect with generosity, observe with awareness, reconnect to your energy, and focus on creating value from the heart — for others as well as for yourself.
The support is always there, waiting to be recognized.
