To build a new audience, just keep publishing!

I’ve done 5 months in my side business, working on it for only 2 hours per week, focused on audience building.

There’s now been 2,400 people who have engaged with my content on my secret Facebook page. I don’t even have a website or mailing list yet, but I can always reach those same 2,400 people again using Facebook ads’ “custom audience” feature ("Everyone who has engaged with your page.")


I’ve now spent about $1,000 in Facebook Ads for this new business, or approx $200 per month. All of it …

Create a Free Facebook Group? Why I don't recommend it...

A couple of years ago I created and facilitated a free Facebook group (called “Our Highest Work”) and in late 2015 decided to put it on hold.

Here’s why I stopped using my Facebook Group, and why I don't recommend this strategy to any of my clients:
My "group" had basically become my fan page -- without the advantages of fan pages!

You don't need "more traffic" to your website...

​Some marketing experts are always trying to get you loads of “traffic”.

By their language you can sense their values. Perhaps without consciously recognizing it, they are seeing people as a means to an end — 
their own wealth and fame.

Let's be careful not to absorb their self-absorbed values.
