Design is communication.

Besides being a meaningful form of self-expression, good design is vital for clear communication. It brings structure, order and clarity to your content and has the power to convey your message in a way that some words can't.

From the imagery you use to the fonts that you choose, each element speaks a visual language that can either inspire or repel the people you want to serve.

Just like good design can engage your true fans—cluttered websites, or clashing designs can evoke negative emotions that can turn off potential clients or leave a bad impression that diminishes credibility.

This course is for folks who want to make simple, visually-appealing marketing materials that resonate with their audience but still feels authentic to who they are—even if they don't possess an ounce of artistry.

Aesthetics go beyond just making something pretty—it's about understanding how to intentionally craft content that's clear, easy to read, builds trust and enhances your reader’s experience.

By knowing a few basic principles, and using a few simple tools, you can feel confident knowing your visual marketing reflects who you are and speaks to your audience in a sincere, heartfelt way. 💛

Meet Your Instructor:

Krista Bauer, Visual Marketing Instructor
Hey, I'm Krista Bauer, an avid do-it-yourselfer and mother of four (two with fur) who believes that aesthetics make life more enjoyable.

As a hobby artist who occupied an inner-city art studio and fulfilled a life-long dream of having my paintings displayed on gallery walls, color harmony and composition seem to come to me more readily than most.

Even with this natural ability, my initial designs screamed "amateur", and detracted from my content, which is why I've invested so much time and money to expand the skill of visual marketing.

When I began my entrepreneurial journey five years ago, I didn't intend to offer design support to fellow coaches and healers. However, my colleagues loved my clean and simple aesthetic and asked me to create websites and graphics for them, too!

I think it goes to show that by understanding the basics and knowing how to navigate the tools, anyone can improve their design ability and feel confident crafting simple graphics and web pages that look professional and convey their message authentically.
